What we work on

Website work for building businesses

Contractovix designs and builds websites for builders, renovation companies, roofers, electricians, plumbers, landscapers and other trades. We do not do building work. Each service below has its own page with scope, deliverables and starting prices.

Example layout, fictional business

The builder in this example is invented for this site. The sample project page shows the layout we suggest for a finished build: what was asked for, what was built, the main materials, the builder's role and photos taken with the owners' permission. It carries no figures, because a fictional job has none worth reporting.

How a project runs

From the first brief to a site you can update

Four stages, each with something you can check before the next one starts. The process page explains what happens at each one and what we need from you.

  1. Brief and structure

We list the jobs you want more of, the areas you cover and the pages that follow from both.

  2. Design and build

Page layouts first, then the working site, with your project photos and your words.

  3. Check and test

Phones, keyboards, forms, page titles and redirects are checked against a written list.

  4. Launch and hand over

The site goes live and you get notes on adding a new job or editing a page yourself.

Why Contractovix

Websites that start from the trade, not a template

Every page is planned around a simple sequence: let a homeowner see past jobs, learn who you are and ask for a price. We write for that, in plain language, and we do not invent reviews, figures or awards to fill space.

Quick answers before you get in touch

What does Contractovix do?

We design and build websites for building and trade businesses in New Zealand. That covers new sites, redesigns, project galleries, quote request forms and service area pages. We publish free guides and planning tools as well. We are not builders and do not carry out building work.

Do you only work with builders?

No. The same thinking applies to renovation companies, roofers, electricians, plumbers, drainlayers, painters, landscapers and other trades whose websites need to show past jobs and take requests for prices. The trade business websites page covers the differences.

How much does a contractor website cost?

The cheapest starting point is NZD 1,200, for reworking a quote form, and a new site starts at NZD 6,800, plus GST where applicable. The pricing page lists the rest. Every job gets a written quote that fixes the price before any deposit is paid.

Will a new website get me more jobs?

Nobody can promise that honestly, and we do not. A website can make it easier for the right people to understand your work and ask for a price. Whether that turns into jobs depends on your prices, your reputation, the season and how fast you reply.

Can I update the site myself after launch?

Yes. Every site comes with written notes on adding a project, changing a service page and replacing photos. Changes you send to us instead can be quoted separately, or charged at NZD 160 an hour plus GST where applicable.
